"Brought my boyfriend for his 60th birthday. We had already visited the Westin in November last year and were very pleased. I asked for and paid for a higher floor room with ocean view for his 60th birthday. We had already visited the Westin in November last year and we’re very pleased. I asked for and paid for a higher floor room with ocean view. I was in room 916. The ocean view was obstructed by the building right next to us and a big wall. Boyfriend was also disappointed that the breakfast buffet was closed as well as the beach bar. We will give it one more chance in May and see if it’s any better when it turns into an all-inclusive property the staff were excellent very very nice room very very clean Lorena our housekeeper was excellent and very nice pool was clean. The property is beautiful."

"We had to upgrade to a balcony with Ocean view and it was gorgeous. Food at this property is inadequate. Not worth the extra $100 US per day. Much better to eat at the local places down the street or Romantic zone. "

"We were upgraded to the Holiday Inn and Suites. We got a suite on the 9th floor. When we asked about a late checkout when we arrived, we were offered a late 2pm checkout at no cost. When we confirmed the morning of departure we were told that wasn’t an option. The room had one packet of coffee, one bottle of water, one coffee mug. The room was clean and the bed comfortable."

"I didn’t have high expectations for this resort as we had stayed in the area previously and were let down at a neighbouring resort but Valas was great! The rooms were clean, the food was probably the best we’ve had an all inclusive, the staff was great. Would recommend! "

"Room was clean, bed good! Shower sprayed directly at the ceiling thru a vast plumbing leak, sink was and remained plugged and filled with water, showers door did not close. Pool was sparsely furnished with torn broken chaises and the pool water was murky……honestly not much different than I expected including a gross breakfast but all for $100 Canadian, so overall, I feel I got more than I paid for!!"
