"I should preface this review by saying I had the great good fortune to live in London in 1983. London has a very different, slightly down-at-the-heels look and smell for me that I LOVE. People give five ⭐️ reviews for different reasons. This is mine: the Parkwood has this wonderful feel for me. It is a very clean and exceptionally friendly place. The breakfast is lovely. The staff and owner Monty are friendly and flexible. I am not the kind of traveler who wants a sterile anonymous environment....

"You pay for what you get. Great, full breakfast. Definitely a great add on to save money and still having a healthy and proper breakfast to get the day started. All the staff was super helpful. Washrooms are not the biggest, but definitely has everything you need. Great water pressure and hot water. Very close to Paddington station as well. It’s not a five star hotel, so do not go in with certain expectations as others do. However, I think, it was definitely worth it. "

"Excellent customer service and beautiful rooms with hot water and decent water pressure. TV didn't seem to get a signal, but the wifi was good. There is fresh milk for your tea or coffee downstairs, but there wasn't quite enough for the multiple cups I drink in a day ;). A bottle of water in-room would be great, there were some refillable bottles of water near the fridge with the milk downstairs, but it smelled a bit musty when I opened it, so I just used tap, which seemed fine. "The room was small but clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was newly redecorated. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient for Heathrow and the M25 and M4 are nearby."
