I attempted to request a new room (current room was on top floor) due to a few Pigeons that appeared to be nesting on the roof, that kept me up while napping and early morning. When I went to Recepentionsit to request a new room, she informed me that I did not know what birds I was talking about, and that it was a "mourning dove" and that they should be quitet by dusk. She also informed me that she knew better, since she lived in the woods and that I didn't know what I was talking about since pigeons weren't in the Wisconsin Dells area. To minimize the situation, I walked away and allowed her recommendations to be the course of action. After waking early the next morning due to the bird noises, I proceeded to the receptionist to inform her of the mishaps from the bird and the experience with the staff member. The staff member the next day was very kind and took my complaint, and informed me that they could not provide any type of refund, but that the manager would be in touch to speak with me about their employee. But after 3 days, I have not received an email or phone call.

I very much enjoyed the view of the river, the patio and bar/restaurant is a nice atmosphere. The breakfast is outstanding!!! I did however not enjoy the size of the room's bathroom and its oldness. The bathrooms need improvement & remodeling bad.

This was our third stay. Always a good stay. This time was a bit different. Site said we get free tickets to zoo in town with our stay. Upon checking in-i asked about the tickets and was told the zoo was closed and they were not allowed to give them out until the zoo opened for the season. We drove by the very next day and they were in fact open. So wasn’t happy about that. Stopped in the restaurant for breakfast. Was served water and proceeded to wait 20 minutes and nobody came to the table. No coffee offered. Nothing. So we walked out.

Thank you for your feedback, Heather. With the zoo tickets, we are sorry for the misunderstanding. The zoo is NOT open for general admission, which is what we have tickets for. Right now they are only open by appointment, for VIP tours. Our website states zoo tickets are only available May-October. We apologize for any issues with the restaurant. Loved the restaurant downstairs and it's a short distance down the river walk to downtown. The pool and spa were great!

Love the view and the food at the restaurant wasn’t bad. I checked in with two kids one 6 months and the other 2 years old. When we travel and stay in hostels we bring our own pack n play so we don’t risk having the baby sleep in the bed with anyone. They were aware that we were checking in with two adults and two kids. The room had no place to set up the pack n play other than in the bedroom. So mom got little to no sleep the time we spent. Room was way to small only had space for the two queen beds.

Can't beat the view. Walking distace to old downtown. Great staff. Nice bar and restaurant. Poor lighting and space in bathroom area. Thin and rough washcloths and towels.

Overall nice place on the river with a pretty view. The rooms were a bit dated in the bathroom. The pool area has a sauna and hottub, but the ceilings above the pool is in rough shape. The staff was super friendly and I would stay there again.

Not sure what happened with the hot tub, because we have no complaints or maintenance issues listed for the days you were here. Walls are very thin. You can hear everything in the hall. When bar closes people hangout in the halls instead talking throughout the night. Room was nice and so was the restraunt.

We enjoyed that there was a restaurant/bar in the hotel. The hotel is nice but rooms could use updating. For the price we would def stay there again.

Loved that it stocked the kleenex and was impressed that it offer a darker colored washcloth for cleaning makeup off. The veiw from our room of the river was beautiful. All of the staff were very nice and welcoming.

Had a beautiful view of the Wisconsin River. Staff was friendly at check. Couple things I didn't care for was our bathroom in our room was very tiny. Had to turn sideways between the toilet and the wall to close the door. The walls must be pretty thin as my wife and I were awaken 2 times throughout the night from the people in the room next to ours. Lets just say they were getting it on. Overall a decent hotel within walking distance of the shops downtown, but man those walls must be pretty thin.

Really enjoyed the beautiful view from our king suite on the fifth floor. The bed was very comfortable as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Positives: The front desk and bar staff were very kind and helpful. The view from our room was pretty. Negatives: We had a ”suite” in the main hotel with three queen beds, two were in one room that overlooked the river and the single queen was in a room that faced the parking lot. The room was not well cleaned. There was a brown smudge on the wall, the outside of the windows were full of cobwebs and dirty. My nightstand had a marble top and it was clear they did not clean it because there was a brown sticky substance all over it. The window in the smaller room had no screen, (safety hazard) and I swear there had to have been a hole in the wall because I could hear everything outside. I checked the window to make sure it was closed too. At 3AM we were awoken by drunken people in the room next to us. We had to call the front desk because the music they were blaring was so loud. Also, the walls between rooms must have no insulation. We could hear “everything”. It’s unfortunate because this is such a great location and could have a lot of potential.
