The Quayside Hotel and Bar

"We had lovely weekend stay at The Quayside Hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet and the walk in shower and separate bath were a welcome change. We dined in the restaurant on one night and found the menu to be extensive and quite reasonably priced. The food was delicious and very well presented. The ambience was relaxed and the decor felt modern and chic. The Continental breakfast was also well stocked with plenty of choice to suit all morning palettes. From check in to check out, everyone at The Quayside Hotel was friendly and helpful. In all, we had a very relaxing and pleasant stay."

"When we arrived at the property we called to get the code for the door the gentleman was very polite , we then got into our room and it was spotless bedroom very spacious for 3 of us the shared kitchen was sparkling had everything you needed having your own fridge freezer in the bedroom was a nice touch. location was nice very quite beds was very comfy only thing I would say is the shower head could do with updating to fit the style of the room as the room was very up to date and stylish, I did notice that when walking up the main stairs there was a bit of wood trimming that had come away ,we did have to pay to stay in the car park as the road it’s on is residential parking only but really didn’t mind but overall really nice night away and would definitely stay here again if we are visiting the area again"

"Fabulous host/owner. Comfortable bed. What really stood out was the fact that there is a bar on teh ground floor, and on Saturday night, there was a large, raucous crowd and loud music... but in my room, I was not able to hear ANYTHING. Complete silence! Would highly recommend!"

"It is very hard to find, the sat nav takes you on a weird tour, in the end I had to try a different way because the sat nav just couldn’t find it! The room was very clean as was the whole hotel. There is no check in desk which is so weird, I didn’t see a staff meme we the whole time I was there! The continental breakfast is nice enough but you have to eat it in your room as there is room for approx 3 people in the breakfast room!! Overall a very nice but very weird hotel!"

"The property is in a good location with a cafe and pub restaurant within a few minutes walk. Also the train station is 5 to 10 minutes walk away. There is allocated parking outside but it was generally taken by others. I found the property a bit lacking in creature comforts. A lamp and table by the bed would be handy but there are some in the upstairs room but I used the middle floor to be near the bathroom. I only stayed two nights so it was fine for me. The actual terrace of cottage’s is a bit off putting and shabby but it was very quiet so again fine for my needs."

"What an apartment! I was so worried about coming here! My husband was admitted to hospital while on holiday and this was the only affordable place I could find, I thought for the price it would be a dump but how shocked was I? It was amazing, so clean and so big. It is located right in the centre and surrounded by shops and cafes. We’ve had the best stay in the worst circumstances and I would 100% recommend! Me and my son felt safe due to the locked gate then locked outside door!"
