"Older property, but clean and tidy. Good location for walk/bus into Oxford and useful having parking. Staff helpful and friendly. Good selection of shops and eating places in Summertown."

"The room was spotless beautifully furnished. We had endless tea, coffee milk and biscuits. The staff could not have been more helpful nothing was too much trouble The restaurant and bar was clean and very comfortable. The food was fabulous, well prepared. Added to all this you have a very large car park Would recommend this hotel and give it 10/10."

"This was a very convenient location to visit Blenheim Palace. The room and bed were comfortable. We left our car in the car park after we checked out so we could explore the area. The breakfast was delicious and we ate at an excellent local restaurant The Back Lane that was recommended."

"Location was great - 5 mins walk to Christ Church and the rest of all the stuff you want to get to in central Oxford. The free car park was a real bonus. A shame that there is no breakfast (even through there was a photo of a breakfast buffet on the site when we booked). Let's be honest, for the price this is not going to be a luxury hotel (I've stayed in plenty of those), but this was clean, the area of town felt very safe, and the lady who checked us in was super polite and helpful. The room...

"We really enjoyed staying in this quirky historical hotel attached to a pub in Chipping Norton! It was fun!! Its a historical building which is what makes it charming and quirky! Check in was in the pub! Awesome!! Then up thru the narrow winding hallways to a fun room! Beams in the ceiling! Views of the pool hall and the out doors, outback outside seating and parking. Perfectly decent bathroom with shower, Comfortable bed and in room tea/coffee station. Everything you need, and clean! And a...

"I like the location , restaurants, cafes around👍 They really need to renew the bedding; very old especially the duvet 👆"

"I picked this property as we had tickets for a gig at the O2 Academy and wow, it could not have been any closer! Literally a 20 second walk across the road, which when the gig finished was amazing to be able to just fall straight into bed! The place itself is fine, could be better but as a one night stay it was perfectly adequate. The code for the door was emailed to me and worked perfectly, we had no issues. The showers are pretty rubbish (we had 2 rooms and both were the same), the shower...

"Parking is very convenient and close to the village centre. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is very small and not what was advertised. It had a skylight but no windows. Towel warmer didn’t work. Breakfast hours were advertised for 9-10:30. When we arrived at 10 they told us breakfast was closed, but when I pointed out their own hours listed on the card, they did make us breakfast."

"Rooms are modern and nice. The rest wasn’t great at all. Half of the breakfast items were ‘unavailable’, the beer garden outside is full of litter and there’s glasses on the wall that look like they’ve been there for months."

"Great country space. Loved the location but would suggest trying to get there before dark to make it easier to find. Comfortable bed, quiet location, great access to walking trails and not too far into the town. Easy commute to Oxford, either park and ride or bus. Great facilities in the cottage."

"Recommend this location highly! Property is really well maintained - super clean, neutral decoration maintained to a high standard, fresh soft furnishings including plush towels, breakfast choice is excellent and the owner is a welcoming host."
