"Neat little hotel in the heart of downtown Detroit. We stayed after visiting the opera house. Our room was tiny but quite nice. The bathroom was my favorite part. Nice shower, soaps smell amazing. The coffee stand was a nice touch, and the fresh flowers were GORG. I loved seeing glimpses of the old Wurlitzer Building that the designers left in tact. One major negative for me—the mood was very dark. The hallways and stairwells were scary to the point I didn’t feel safe. I was afraid either I was going to trip and fall or get abducted. We had to come back because one of my daughters left her phone. The staff was very helpful in finding it for us. But we went down to the basement to use the restroom while we were there and it was so dark I literally couldn’t see the steps."
