"We stayed in a Deluxe Room the Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium for 5 nights, and we were disappointed. They put us on a floor that was undergoing renovations (our hallway was covered in painting tape and had unfinished light fixtures), and our room had non-functional ventilation and sparse seemingly unfinished decoration. Our room also had no view (despite advertising a city view) and the bathroom was smaller than advertised. We raised all of this after one night, and mid-way through our stay...

"The look of the hotel itself was very nice. The aethestics and decor looked evelvated but the reception area was a bit weird to me. The reception are is just a large kitchen table area where two people sit there looking like two friends having a conversation. I was confused when I walked in. The amenities of free drinks and alcohol as well as free breakfast every morning was the best perk but outside of that I did not enjoy my experience at the hotel. "A wonderful stay during our visit to Amsterdam. May 19-22, 2026. Large room, well maintained. Liked having the refrigerator. Great breakfast. Quiet neighborhood setting with easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, and tram. We were able to get wherever we wanted to go in the city. Staff gave us great directions to use the train and trams from the airport saving us a lot of money. "This property is in a great location next to the van Gogh Museum, and walkable to many parts of Amsterdam Staff is phenomenal and the breakfast outstanding We booked a small room and it was small, but we knew that at the time. Most of the other rooms looked to be very good sized. There is an elevator, although some stairs have to be navigated to get up into the hotel. Overall, this is an outstanding property made even more so by the staff"

"A very cool stylish room with a big comfortable bed and a nice view from the window. Tv, color led light, blinders - all managed from an iPad. There was no fridge and glasses in the room, but we could ask for them at the buffet downstairs. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is also a 24h buffet where you can order food from the menu. All in all - a very pleasant stay, would definitely come again!"
