"If you'd like to stay next to a highway with a steady stream of big rigs going by from early in the morning until late at night, all using their air brakes to slow down for the roundabout, this is the place for you. Don't think about peace and quiet, there isn't any. This is an ancient building located in the center of traffic. It was a mistake to stay there. We don't recommend it for any reason unless you don't need sleep.
Now, the antique nature of the building is "cute" but not practical....

"On a very busy Memorial weekend the staff did an excellent job of keeping us all happy. I only wish the bar had stayed open later! The breakfast was huge and hot and had everything you could imagine. I found the lighting in the room a tad dim except for the bathroom. Otherwise I have no other negative thoughts."

"The only problem was the noise level. Soundproofing was minimal between rooms and we could hear word for word conversations between the occupants and the television of the room next door. "The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was pretty good, too. And the coffee they had was way better than other hotels! The only issue was a large gaggle of children in town for a sporting event. They were running the halls until close to 10pm.
We had an overnight stay and I would certainly book there again when we're in town."
