"It was a lovely place to stay for two nights. An easy walk to the Shambles and Minster. Our only issue was the Air conditioning shuts off in the middle of the night so we woke up both nights around 2:00 am warm and had to turn AC back on."

"Great location with beautiful views! We loved the coffee machine and croissants in the morning. Our bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a great size. The whole room was large actually! The washer and dryer availability was SO helpful too. We were so glad to have air con (& lifts) as well. Having to use your key card for the lift was kind of annoying, but we got used to it. Overall excellent stay!"

"The room was well furnished although storage space was a bit limited. There was no glass in the bathroom. The staff were helpful and friendly. They answered my questions cheerfully and patiently. The breakfast was okay. There was a good range of choice but the hot food varied in quality and temperature. The hotel is well positioned. There is good access to the city centre and the area is well served by public transport."

"Loved the hotel - excellent experience. Only downside was that the lights in thee room were on a sensor and were constantly on/off, which was an bit of a pain. Great location for the station and walking into town."

"On the one hand, this place needs a makeover. It's dated and needs some sprucing up. However, the place is super comfortable, the English breakfast is amazing, and the location is awesome. The staff was amazing, they helped us through a rough car rental issue. Great place to stay for one or two nights and get to know York."
