"Booked here as a stopover on the way to Thoresby hall from Scotland as it was only a short drive off the motorway. We booked bed and breakfast at a very good price and we also had an evening meal. Both meals were great and the room even had an air con unit which was fantastic in the hot weather. The place was great value for money and we will certainly be back, can't thank the staff enough who were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Well done and we hope to be back soon."

"A good location with car parking at the back. Comfy beds, although our room was a bit small. If we had have been staying more than one night we would have wanted a bigger room. The food for breakfast and dinner was of good quality and the staff were very friendly. A large beer garden at the rear and a large screen to watch the football on."

"The hotel was in a very convenient location for visiting the Shambles and city core. We found the room itself to be a bit rough in terms of amenities. The stall shower was on the small side for me, but the hot water came quickly and didn’t run out. Our biggest complaint was that the TV signal was not stable (kept glitching out) and the room never really cooled down in the evening (no A/C). Granted, we were there during a record heat wave. "The room wasn't very clean (quite a lot of dust), and there were random quilts in random cupboards (not clean ones), and the bedroom window was painted shut, which was frustrating during a heat wave. There were a few unidentified noises of water sloshing or pouring from somewhere, both in the corner of the bedroom and in the bathroom, possibly due to being near a boiler, or just some residue from pipework. "Very good value for money, everything you need is there including WiFi. Some small areas needing attention but nothing serious. Only downside was building works going on in an attached building, loud banging from 6am."
