"We Stayed in the classic double room on the 5th floor.. on arrival we were greeted by a member of reception who was very welcoming and registered us to our room. ( we left our cases earlier in the day) On entry to our room our cases had been brought up and left in there for us. we noticed how nice the smell was and how clean it was. The bathroom was immaculate and the shower was huge. The pressure on the shower jets was extremely good ( most hotels struggle with low pressure) there was also molton brown toiletries and plenty of towels. The bedroom was well presented and had the added bonus of a chaise in the corner and a table. The tv was great and had sky channels including sports. There was an iron, board and hair dryer as well as a great selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The bed itself was the best feature and we had the comfiest nights sleep in months. We also noted that we could hear a pin drop during our stay which is unusual in any hotel. We went for breakfast in the morning and this was a highlight of our stay. I can't fault any of the staff as they were all extremely polite and helpful. They really couldnt do enough for us. I had the avocado and poached egg which was delicious and my husband had the full English to which he stated at the time was the best meal he had eaten in a long time. Overall the whole experience was fantastic and we would highly recommend Dakota to everyone."

"The staff were lovely and friendly. The food and service were amazing. The bed was clean and comfortable, but there were cobwebs and spiders in the room/bathroom and the cleanliness around the toilet could definitely be improved."

"A warm friendly welcome we arrived a bit early however we were able to check in , the room is spacious and well laid out and clean. Beds were comfortable but our room was on the city side of building so I didn’t get much sleep due to noise from the streets. We would stay again but ask for a quiet area"

"The hotel room we chose was a small double and it was quite small especially the bathroom, perfectly adequate for 1 night. The breakfast was excellent!! The evening meal (at The Pickled Sprout) was only just ok, the meals were all over salted and the fries were inedible for me. The quality of the food was good. For 4 of us we paid over £170 with a drink each and when some of was inedible its not good. Overall I would stop there again but choose somewhere else for dinner."
