When we arrived the receptionist noticed I was using a walking aid and unprompted started looking to change our room to an accessible room eliminating needing to use stairs. "The room was ok on arrival if you look past the stains on the carpet and hole in the hand towel. When I opened the hand towel a big clump of dark brown hair fell out of it. Made me feel sick. Staff were nice. Check in was horrendous with only one person on the desk so a massive queue had formed. They take £100 off your card “in case” you spend anything on your room during your stay. "We loved everything the the cave hotel offered,this time we only had a one night stay and our last stay was quite a while ago but on returning we certainly where not disappointed it was special we had our evening meal with them and that was wonderful we couldn’t take breakfast much to our disappointment it our room was really clean and welcoming really quite special as was everything about the CaveCastle Hotel Well done to every member of staff"

"The setting of this hotel is beautiful. The room we had was recently renovated and was extremely comfortable. The staff were great, very friendly and attentive. We will be back to Harrogate and will definitely look to stay here again. The on-site Amber's restaurant is divine, and the food was amazing."

"I don’t usually post negative comments but feel on this occasion it’s require based on the room rate. Our room including bathroom was slightly tired and is in need of a refreshment and lacked your normal toiletries for this level of hotel. The mini fridge compressors was very loud and as such led to both nights of poor sleep, not ideal when you book a weekend away to recover. However, the main building was very beautiful and had a nice lounge to relax in the evening."

"An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats. Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price."
