"I have a 3-5 on service. All the staff that I interacted with were very helpful and professional. However, the housekeeping was not good. I was only there for 2 days. On the first day, my room was not cleaned, despite housekeeping being right outside the room when I left for the day. On the second day, the room was cleaned but the amenities (tea, coffee, etc.) were not replenished. Clearly no quality checks by the housekeeping management."

"The second time we have stayed here and it won't be the last. Conveniently situated in walking distance of the city centre and train station. The rooms are wonderfully spacious and clean and the staff are wonderful and a real asset. We parked in the Q park which is just round the corner, a 2 minute walk at most and the hotel offer a discount on parking there. We had breakfast both mornings and there is plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Loved our 2 night stay and cant wait for the next one."

"We entered the front and were met with a warm welcome at the bar. The place had a warm welcoming feel to it too. Once checked in we were taken to our room. The room was lovely. The bedroom was comfortable, clean and spacious. My wife and I immediately felt at home. The en-suite was also very clean and the shower was amazing. Was nice to freshen up after a long journey. There is a large car park at the rear and a lovely beer garden too. Slept well - beds were really comfy. As for breakfast - wow...

"Very nice hotel and lovely breakfast too. We were with a toddler so cautious about the noise as there were many reviews about high noise level. When we close the windows, it didn’t bother us. It’s so close to many good restaurants and attractions. So we loved it."

"We regularly stay at this hotel when visiting Huddersfield. It is our favourite hotel in the area . The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room is always beautifully clean. The served hot breakfast is fantastic and freshly cooked as opposed to a buffet style. The hotel has a warm and friendly feel and we highly recommend it. "Hotel could be cleaner in a lot of places. Staff polite, bar very expensive, breakfast had lots of choices but tasted bland. Could hear other people in rooms using their bathroom!!"

"On arrival, I was given a sheet of paper to fill in, but it was so badly printed that I could not read it! The room was spacious, with a walk in shower, kettle and tea and coffee. However, the wifi did not work for me, and the TV kept cutting out, but the bed was comfortable. In the morning, there was no water from the taps, so I could not use the lovely looking shower; I had to wash with water from the kettle, from the previous evening. I feel that the staff should have been warning guests...

"Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying...
