"This hotel I in the midst of a full renovation. So this review is based purely in the condition of the hotel right now. The hotel location is perfect. Right on the West Cliff overlooking the sea, whale bones and abbey. The new hotel bar is exceptional. The rooms are perfectly adequate for a short stay. They do need a refurb and that is happening as we speak. I have to say though, that the prices seem to reflect that. They are not charging 5 star prices. The staff throughout the hotel are always great. I stay here every year and will continue to do so. "

"This is a room in a pub. But our room was to a high standard and almost large enough to be a suite. Absolutely in the centre of Whitby. Breakfast was good and hearty too. Could do with more power sockets in the room, though."

"Had a 1 night mid-week stay here & it was brilliant. From check in to leaving it was all done quickly & smoothly. The apartment was nice, comfy & spacious. Even though its part of a pub albeit next to not above it was really quiet & didnt hear a thing from the pub itself. The staff were really friendly & acomadating & so were the locals who frequent the pub. Would highly recommend staying in here to anyone & i certainly would again when in the area."

"Lastminute and this amazing place to stay. Literally on Whitby Bridge so close to everything. Parking very close by. Very clean, very warm considering it was freezing outside. Will be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Found parking with ease. Access to house was via key safe. Front door a little stiff but fine. House was very comfy and well equipped. Although a toilet brush would have been preferred. On the surface was clean ish. Kitchen cupboard doors, doors and windows needed cleaning. Cobwebs everywhere! Towels and bedding was clean. Twin beds were tiny, not full size singles, so better suited for younger children. The biggest issue was the boiler. Heating was on when we arrarrived but soon the boiler went off. Signs were up to say how to restart the boiler so owner knew it was an issue. Had we only needed to reset the boiler pressure once that would have been fine, however, we had to reset it several times each day throughout the day. Not ideal when on holiday and needing hot water and heating."

"Had a wonderful stay with my 2 dogs. It's hard to find accommodation centrally in Whitby that has car parking, so this was perfect. I wouldnt hesitate to stay again."
