"Great location. One night stay in family room which was perfectly set out with kids feeling like they had their own room and we had a good space to ourselves aswell to relax while they were sleeping. The staff were very friendly and accommodating letting us grab drinks from the bar and take to room. Even opened us a bottle of our own wine to take up!! "First the good. Great location (probably the best in Whitby.) Friendly staff, clean large bedroom, good breakfast, comfy bed with nice bedding. Great Quirky old building. Unfortunately, the bad.. when we arrived the whole building had the overwhelming smell of cooking oil. Even into the bedroom. I am pleased to state that the aroma eventually dispersed by morning. I believe that the management should address this issue urgently. Otherwise everything very good."
