"I couldn't have picked a better place to stay – this hotel is in the perfect location! Whether I was heading out to explore the hubbub or grab a bite at nearby restaurants, everything was just outside the door. The room was stylish, with little touches that make a stay feel special. Expedia stated only one room left that clearly was not the situation. Definitely not value for money."

The kids were probably about 10-13 years old and were terribly loud, running up and down the stairs, screaming and yelling in the hallways and the teachers didn’t do anything about it. "Stayed as a solo traveller for one night for a quick visit to Whitby. Staff were very friendly on the phone when I called to firm up arrangements, and same when greeting me when I arrived. Good amount of private parking available. I arrived at 11:30am before chicken in (3pm) but no issues using the car park while I explored the town. "The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time."
