"The hotel was clean and comfortable and offered a great atmosphere. The staff were extremely gracious and helpful. The restaurant and bar offered a great menu, and the food was delicious. While the hotel is not air-conditioned, the temperature was still comfortable. There are quite a few stairs involved in getting to the various wings of the hotel."

"This is the 2nd time we've stayed here & once again couldn't fault our experience. This time we opted for an executive double room on the top floor. Very spacious, bed very comfy & the bath even had a TV! Very warm given the height of the room in this heatwave but room had a portable fan supplied as well as a ceiling fan. Staff were very helpful & accommodating & even made provisions to show the England game for guests. Very happy customers."

"Room was very clean. There were one or two small signs of wear and tear which will need attention at some point. We did expect a little fridge seeing as it was a deluxe room. Other than than the McRae suite was lovely ."
Crown Hotel Harrogate

"We only had 1 night stay and it was great. The building has history and character just like Harrogate itself. Check-in was very quick, we had a parking space reserved which was brilliant. The room we had was on the 2nd floor and was adequate for our needs a double bed which was comfy. The amenities for coffee/tea including biscuits was good. The bathroom had a shower over the bath with toiletries in bottles on the wall. Plenty of towels. Good size all round even when it was listed as a cosy double when booking. The breakfast was good value with a fantastic choice of hot/cold buffet with cooked to order eggs of your choice. Overall definitely would return. Good value for a visit."
Cedar Court Harrogate

"The room was spacious with a good amount of storage whilst the room did not have air conditioning it was cool and a comfortable temperature, which to say it was 30 degrees outside was good. There was a fan available, but we didn't need to use it. Room was clean and the bathroom was acceptably clean. There was however slight mould spots on some of the grouting and sealant in the shower. It was quiet and peaceful. The building and communal rooms were wonderful. They felt very classy in keeping with the exterior if the building. The aura and atmosphere was calm and peaceful. The live keyboard player who sang smooth jazz music added to the ambiance. The staff were all friendly, patient, very helpful, curteous, and professional. They are a credit to the hotel. The food was gorgeous. Breakfast was amazing, whilst a buffet, the food was fresh and not dried out at all. We arrived 40 mins before the end of services and there was still the full range of items on the menu. The evening meal was a set menu with a choice of one or two courses. We would have preferred a single meal, but that was not an option. For us the selection for each course was a bit limited, and didn't match our tastes. However the meals we selected it were superb. Other dinners nearby that we interacted with, also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The standard was very high. Check in and out was easy, and can be done independently or by the staff. You need to pay for parking, but there are plenty of bays."
The Royal Hotel

"The room was clean but a bit smaller than I am used to in The Royal. There is no parking at The Royal but there is paid for parking nearby. I didn't have a decent view. It was overlooking the middle square if the hotel."
