"This was a very good property. Nice and spacious rooms. Incredibly helpful desk staff. Breakfast was decent, a bit overpriced though. The views from the rooms aren't the best if that is something you are looking for. The air conditioner had some problems, but we never addressed the staff on it because it was our last two days here. Knowing them, they would have fixed it immediately or relocated us. Cleaning staff did wonderful, looked as clean as we first arrived everytime we came back from exploring Rio. My main complaint is the outside, there were many homeless people camping outside the property, lots of trash here and there. The area looks sketchy, boarded up buildings and lots of graffiti. I'd imagine a lot of people wouldn't feel safe here at night. If this is what it looks like here, I could only imagine how the residents of Rio live. It's concerning and frankly, I don't think I'll ever visit Brazil again."
