Valencia is an amazing place with amazing food, wine and beaches. The Old City is amazing and this should be a bucket list place. Much less riff raff than Barcelona which made it feel that much safer. Fewer people overall and a classy yet casual vibe

I went to Valencia at the beginning of their biggest festivities, the Fallas, which go from March 1st through the 19th. The old city is overwhelmed with people. The mood is festive and raucous, but aside from that the city is beautiful and sunny.

Beautiful architecture, lots of historical places, super safe and walkable. Kind and hospitable Valencians, delicious food and inexpensive dining, perfect wine, super convenient public transportation, very easy to navigate. I loved it a lot !

Lots of bars and restaurants. Lots of areas, museums and buildings to see. Nice football stadium (Mestalla). Safe city; I walked many times late at night, on my own. Airport is close to the city; just under half an hour to the city centre.

The historical old City was beautiful and interesting. The newer area like Centre for sciences buildings were fascinating as was the Oceanografic which was a wonderful day out in itself not just for kids either.
