"The receptionist at check in was extremely unhelpful. She was frustrated at the number of Scottish guests asking questions and this made her un-approachable . The male receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Location of hotel is good, and easy to reach by train- with a stop outside of the hotel . Breakfast was basic continental. No English breakfast tea - which was disappointing. We were in a townhouse which was very nice."

"The hotel needs a facelift. It is very old, smelt bad due to old carpet. We tried to open the window for fresh air but we could not. Lucky that we stayed only one night as layover for our early flight next morning. We would not come back to this hotel."
