"Very happy with our stay here. Perfect location for all the attractions. Room was clean and comfortable. We were provided with an upgrade to a 1 bed apartment, room was huge. Great having a full sized fridge. We had breakfast included. It was good enough to fill us up and not buy breakfast daily. I’d stay here again without question. Room was dead silent, never heard a noise from other guests or outside, incredible. "

"Lovely property but exterior needs more identifiable address as we walked right by it. Walls a bit scuffed and evidence of old water damage on ceiling in spite of recent renovations. "

"Can't beat the location while in Edinburgh. Situated in the heart of the Royal Mile and a short walk to the tram and several bus stops for exploring the city. From location alone this is a must stay. The room is quite small, but gets the job done and was clean with an okay bed. Fire alarm did go off our first night there (not the hotels fault of course but still was a not fun awakening when sleeping while jet lagged). Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to stay along the Royal...

"Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Royal Mile was priced ok for the area, but wish it had a mini fridge to put things in to keep cool. I was also very disappointed that they did not have a laundry facility at the hotel. "

"The hotel is certainly stylish, however with a slight complacency to their offering this creeps towards being style over substance. The basic expectations of enough coffee in the room for at least one cup each for two people, let alone enough for the entiety of the stay was missed. Failed requests by staff to their group WhatsApp for supplies, resulting in the need to repeat our at the bar.. Also a notably late afternoon attempt by housekeeping to refresh our room, whilst we were getting...

"This is my third stay at this hotel. The breakfast is outstanding and the location ideal!"

"Very nice older hotel. Since it is older you do have to walk up stairs to get to the reception. There is a lift from there to the rooms. Our room view was great and we could see the Scott Monument and Edinburgh Castle from our room."

"Your front desk and breakfast staff are so courteous and delightful. They really made my stay pleasant. Of course breakfast included is always a big win for me. Convenient bus stop at the bottom of the road was a big plus. # 43 bus gets you right into the city. I would certainly stay here again. "
