"Stayed here for a wedding that was in the hotel accross the road. Very nice stay. Very accommodating staff as we were able to check in early to get sorted for the wedding. Would recommend hotel."

"Lots of parking , good WiFi and quiet . Lovely location but just needs a bit more attention . I was the only customer and the cleaner wizzed in before I arrived sadly not actually cleaning or removing rubbish from communal area . The bin in the kitchen was full and should have been emptied prior to my arrival . The radiator in my room didn’t work and although there was an oil filled radiator it’s not ideal in a small room due to risk of hitting yourself on it. I couldn’t find a hair dryer when I needed it on the morning of departure. The help yourself breakfast was ok although I’m not keen on using opened milk as you’re not certain how it’s been dealt with previously especially when it’s up on the day . I couldn’t see any drying cloths so had to leave items to drain as had previous occupant. "

"Staff was not friendly and offered no explanations regarding breakfast or which rooms on the main floor were open for guest use. Since it is INCREDIBLY difficult to get to and there’s no towns nearby, we had no options but to eat dinner there. The food was good but this definitely brought up our overall costs. Our stay was okay but given that it was by far our most expensive stay of our Scotland trip, I can’t say I’d recommend it. P "

"Our stay was disappointing from the moment we arrived. Check‑in was uninformative, and we were handed a piece of paper that turned out to contain outdated instructions about car registration. After rushing back downstairs, we were told it didn’t apply — so it really shouldn’t be given to guests at all. The restaurant experience wasn’t any better. Service was poor, the staff complained about making cocktails, and they were spilled twice. The food was average, the wine list wasn’t available, and they had even run out of beer. The pool area was under maintenance and clearly in need of repair, which wasn’t communicated beforehand. When we lost our room key in the lockers, the response from the front desk was rude and dismissive, with the staff member more focused on her phone than helping. Overall, the hotel itself was average, but the staff and service were well below expectations. We would not return."
