"This room was sufficient for having a safe place to sleep and a hot shower. There are no luxuries here, but it is in walking distance to Central Park and close to all the public transit you would need. The hotel is quite old and not remodeled or updated in any way, but the bed was firm and comfortable for me. I loved having the room cleaned every day when we returned from our long days."

"There was dust on the headboard, the sheets were wrinkled, and I found hair on the pillow. However, it is quiet and the staff is friendly. It could be more appealing if they made changes—like adding a coffee maker or small fridge to the room and making better use of the bar. It could be a very attractive hotel given its historic character, but it needs a little more TLC."
