Hotel Principe Pio
10/10 Excellent
"Great location to be. Very close even for walking to destinations if you'd like. The Royal Palace is within walking distance. The Templo de Debod is nearby too. You should check it out for the sunset on your first nights stay. Otherwise, the breakfast in the morning was great. The service staff were very kind and helpful for recommendations of places to eat. The room was spacious, bathroom had a tub with shampoo, body wash, soap and such. Blacked out curtains. I would stay here again if I'm back in Madrid!"

What is the difference between a 4-star and 3-star hotel in Madrid?
The key difference between a 3- and 4-star hotel in Madrid is the standard of service and access to creature comforts. Three-star hotels are generally lower priced and provide the amenities and services you need to be comfortable, such as a gym, breakfast and WiFi. You can expect a bit more at a 4-star hotel — think upmarket interiors, deluxe toiletries and extras like on-site day spas.
