"Very nice central hotel."

"Central, ideal for the visit. Welcoming, friendly helpful reception colleagues. Room was great, telly not so much, very limited on the TV channels, not so bad if your off out, but if you’re on your own and spend time in the room Overall excellent, and would stay again. "

"Hotel was gorgeous, clean, smelled amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful, we had trouble with our bathroom sink tap and it was fixed super quickly. Only complaint is that drinks were a little expensive, £5 for a coffee is a lot and the alcohol more so, but it's expected for such a lovely venue I suppose. Thanks for a great weekend!"

"The room was a little dated, lovely corner bath but the jets weren’t working on it, no shower in the room which would have been handy. Lovely 4 poster bed, but the mattress was way too soft. Restaurant was lovely and the quality of the food was great. We used the spa and the gym the following day, the spa was very modern, great facilities and very clean."

"Lovely warm welcome on arrival. All staff extremely smiley and helpful. Lovely big room with coffee maker, hairdryer, desk fan. Milk, biscuits, caramel wafers and tunnocks tea cakes to help yourself to on each floor in the corridors. Breakfast was served by lovely young members of staff, nothing was too much trouble. Ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was lovely. All in all a very pleasurable stay and we will definitely return"

"We had a lovely overnight stay on a Sunday evening. The staff were nice and we were given a free upgrade to a Privilege room which was very big and quiet. After a morning swim, I enjoyed a tasty breakfast from the buffet. The only negatives were that the plug in the bathroom didn't work and the decor was a bit tired. However, this is to be expected with older buildings to some degree. There are also beautiful rooms in the old manor such as the library and lots of places to sit in the main...

"This is a good business hotel, access, parking, public spaces are all convenient and well laid out. For working people, I would say this is a very good option. The room we had was on the smaller side as was the bathroom, the bed was good, perhaps a little firm for my taste. The only issue I had with this place was the lack of a coffee machine in the room and no ice machines on the lobby."

"Superb decor with great attention to detail. Rooms were really nice though the shower was awful with poor water pressure that kept stopping flow (maybe when the room next door used at same time). Reception & restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. "

"Room was a little warm but otherwise it was a beautiful sized room! And fab working tv. Shower fab too although the shower gel was empty. Dog was happy in the room too and absolutely loved the ball and treats you gave her on arrival!"
