Kampung Rambutan Hotel Guide - 4 Stars Hotels in Kampung Rambutan, George Town

Very good business hotel and lovely staff

Nearly a 2 week stay at Ascott Gurney. A lovely hotel with great facilities. Rooms were spacious and clean.. Lovely downstairs bar / reception area. Swimming pool area was great.. separate covered pool area for children to use..gym well equipped and with good air con. Location of the hotel is really good. You can walk into George Town if you want (approx 40 minutes) or take a taxi which won't cost a lot. Opposite the hotel is a recently completed park / walking area, very pleasant. Shopping...

A pleasant surprise of a family oriented hotel on the beach at Batu Ferringhi‎, Penang

There are many boutique hotels out there these days, some much better than others, but the Edison George Town has to be up there as one of the best I have stayed in. Smack in the heart of colonial George Town is this wonderfully renovated hotel, brought back to life by the new owners. The restoration of the hotel has been extremely well done and attention to detail impeccable throughout. Our bedroom was well furnished and comfortable, the bathroom, spacious with fine smelling gels and shampoos...

Spacious room on the 22nd floor with full view of Komtar Tower & sea.

Wonderful hotel with very welcoming and helpful staff. A very good buffet breakfast selection, with a la carte options, freshly squeezed orange juice and cappuccino. A nice small pool with sunbeds. Rooms very clean and comfortable. An excellent stay!

Pros: clean room , comfortable bed, selection of pillows if needed, close to eating places around Georgetown Cons: carpark leading to lobby only by stairs so difficult for guests with big luggage and elderly folks to climb 2 flight of stairs. Guests need to drop off big luggage and elderly folks at the lobby reception before heading to carpark - long queue to check in due to 3 staffs working - no instructions on how to use room phone as the direct button for ‘housekeeping’ isn’t working. -...

Fantastic staff

Great place near all restsurants could walk to the shopping mall

Its a wonderful building with very pleasant staff. Limited food options, but many local places to eat. Rooms are lovely, with lots of space. Road noise can be an issue, but wasnt for me.

This hotel is so very beautiful and unique, expressing love for a vibrant bygone age that was the Peranakan Chinese in the late 19C and early 20C in the highly decorated southern Chinese furniture, objets and gilded carpentry in the hotel's overall decor, as well as the use of Victorian floor tiles which was favoured for both their beauty and practicality. Standards are some of the highest anywhere, in stylish and unique decor, cleanliness (pristine), friendliness and helpfulness of the staff...

Clean ,convenient and everything is good.staff are helpful and friendly. Highly recommended to anyone and will stay again next visit.FABULOUS.

Great hotel with great staff.

Great place, lovely staff very clean. Georgetown is noisy though and even on the 20th floor there is significant road noise.

We didn’t have breakfast because there were so many eateries in the vicinity of the hotel so I can’t comment on breakfast. The staff were lovely, the room was extremely clean, cool and comfortable and we would definitely return to this hotel again. Excellent location too.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The property is beautiful, but it’s the staff and service that truly set this place apart. Throughout my stay, all the staff were incredibly attentive, helped me find my way around the best local spots, and had the most positive and helpful attitude all round. The location was also perfectly placed in Georgetown, close to all the tourist spots whilst not being on a busy or noisy road. Breakfast was included and, much like the heritage of Penang itself, I was...

Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool was great. We only had breakfast one day but it was good. Great place to stay and convenient for the airport. Would stay again
