"Overall, my experience was great. We had a tough time at check in. The two attendants at the front desk weren’t the nicest. However, the other staff that we encountered more than made up for it. Rooms were clean, I made good use of the fitness center, breakfast exceeded my expectations. Next time, I hope the pool is back open. "

"My stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Birmingham was extremely disappointing and far below what you’d expect from a Hilton property. They charge for parking, yet the lot is poorly maintained with trash scattered around, and the speed bumps are unnecessarily high to the point of being ridiculous. "This hotel only has in room coffee, we had to ask for more coffee supplies as the only options were Starbucks in the main lobby and Blazers cafe on site. No microwaves in the rooms either, have to use the microwave in the snack area in the main lobby. The room was clean enough, beds were ok, not great. Plus extra $ for paid on site parking. The fridge was not working when we got there and ice was scarce, even though there was a machine on every floor!"

"Room was in desperate need of a good cleaning. Shower did not work. We had to valet the car and it came back in HORRIBLE condition, someone had smoked in the car, it had 50 miles more on the car than when we dropping it off. "Large unit, very clean. Too many email and texts with info on check in and all codes needed to get in building and room. Was confusing and took a day to figure out (but only there basically 2 nights and 1 day). Be careful if you have a lifted vehicle. I called ahead to see if there was going to be a problem parking (I have a 6” lift on my truck). Nobody could tell me.
