"Fantastic hotel, beautiful resort- like, high end aesthetic, with great service staff. J from concierge helped us get a rental vehicle for the last 2 days of our stay, and helped arrange for the rental car to be dropped off and picked up from the hotel - he made it really easy for us! "Very shady experience with the "daily food and beverage credits" Don't believe them, there are all kinds of limits to this, but they don't tell you what they are, even if you ask directly. Then you get stuck with a bill because of some loophole no one told you about. Then you ask about it and you get told "oh, it doesn't apply to x, y, or z" This is NOT a luxury hotel, luxury hotels don't behave this way. Stay somewhere else."

"Beautiful & clean property! Kind & polite staff! Excellent rooms! Wonderful walking trails. Very good food at Catalina Cafe & Bashi! Nice gym. Pools were crowded and noisy. 21 and over pool had extremely loud music Saturday afternoon… we couldn’t hold a conversation. Pool by gym was quiet and relaxing but isn’t included with stay. Apparently it is only for spa treatment clientele… without an accessible beach it may be hard to find a quiet place to swim unless you opt for a spa treatment."

"The room was beautiful! Spacious & comfortable. I LOVE the soft, plush carpet :) We had in room dining from the restaurant & the food was delicious! Service from all the staff was superb - everyone was kind & helpful. Can't beat the location overlooking the Pacific Ocean & just a short walk down to the beach or the Santa Monica Pier.
