"The room was dark. It was hot. The phone didn’t work. I was told I couldn’t have room service till 22.00. Only to discover at 21.40 that it is available from 21.00. The shower needs instructions to turn it on. When booking via expedia I understood parking was available as there was a blue dot indicating parking and I paid more for that room than another room exactly the same. When I arrived there is no parking available and I had to use and pay for public parking."

"Parking was good, check in was fine, room was clean, good size room we were in a accessible room, plenty of lights in room but did not have one on ceiling which would have helped when doing hair and makeup, good size tv, room warm good heater. Bathroom great size has shower and two sinks. Breakfast good and we had a evening meal at Hotel it was good had steak and ale pie. Have stayed at Hotel.before and will stay again. "Hotel very conveniently located to city centre and all it offers, culturally - great museums, sustenance - great restaurants and a lovely walk along the river in the sunshine, also easy walking distance from the station. Room was clean, but a sock was discovered from a previous resident on the desk chair. Bed was comfy, but springs very squeaky. Free breakfast - a wide choice of hot and cold foods. Bananas were very green! Some cutlery and cups unclean. Snacks available from the bar and a comfy lounge to relax in. Staff are friendly and helpful. Even with the issues mentioned, we would return and recommend to others."

"I honestly wasn't expecting such a lovely hotel. Our Air BnB fell through (no heat nor hot water), and I was able to snag a solo room last-minute. Room, staff, dinner, and breakfast were all lovely. Even though a wedding was going on in one of the function rooms, the staff kept churning out superior service. Such a gem. Highly recommend!"
