"Room was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful. The food in the restaurant was lovely. What wasn't good was the racket from other resident drinking and socialising outside the hotel beneath our room . It was noisy till very late on Thursday evening and worse on Friday evening/Saturday morning when the disturbance continued beyound 12.30am. When we stay there again, and we will, we shall be making sure our room is in a quieter part of the hotel."

"This bed and breakfast does the job- a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast. It is showing its age but there is evidence of renovation and a strong smell of recent paint. So to the owners credit they are investing in updates and care about their customers. I was travelling so only needed a good nights sleep. I did walk to a nearby Indian and had no concerns about my safety. I would use again on my travels as it is value for money and updating."

"Great pre-arrival service with emails sharing possible local sites and places to eat. Then, such a warm welcome on arrival. Great room and we had wonderful views down into Perth. Perth was within easy walking distance. The lounge with the wood burning fire in the evening was cozy and a great environment to enjoy a wee dram. Great breakfast."

"This was a very special stay. Spacious, clean room, adorned with antiques & thoughtful details to make your stay more comfortable & enjoyable: coffee/cream/sugar set with scones/ GF biscuit, butter & jam upon arrival, chocolates not only in your room but in candy dishes on the stair landings, Epsom salts for the soaker tub, a few stairs but they will help carry luggage if you need it. Incredible breakfast-hot, made to order by your host. Absolutely delicious, served on fine china in the cozy...

"I arrived a bit early. Nobody wS there, save a sign and two phone numbers to call. I reached someone, and was asked to wait a few minutes. A bit later, i checked in. Bags were carried for me. and i was shown how the electric worked. A nice touch was the cooked to order complimentary breakfast the next morning. Save for those first few minutes, my stay was fine."

"Rooms are old dirty and outdated. Bathroom is full of mold. Doors have huge gaps to hallways. Walls are paper thin, was woken up constantly. Do not stay here!"

"A very pleasant and convenient place to stay for train travellers. There is no elevator for the upper floor, but that didn’t affect me. The weather in April isn’t quite nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the patio and view, but it would be excellent in the warmer months."
