"The breakfast was fresh. They could use better eggs (I think they are powdered eggs that make scrambled eggs) and I wish they had more gluten friendly options. Beds were comfortable and the room was very nice. Wish the pool area had a hot tub, but the kids enjoyed the water slide. Overall enjoyable stay!"

"We loved our stay. It is such an elegant home with a nice connection to Canadian history. It was expertly updated and is extremely comfortable. Elizabeth and Glenn were consummate hosts, with a warm welcome and delicious breakfast. Parking is easy, location excellent. We traveled to Pictou for a concert at the DeCoste Centre (also amazing and within walking distance) and Seabank House was obviously the right choice because the performer also stayed there. And be sure to visit Grohmann Knives...

"I read the other reviews before booking and I thought that I would be able to handle it. I've traveled all over and stayed in some really disgusting hostels so I thought the room wouldn't be so bad in comparison. I don't mind the stains on the chairs or the holes in the comforters, as long as the sheets are clean (which they were), but the smell of the room was terrible. Someone had obviously smoked a lot in there. The shower curtain had mold all over it; those are not expensive to replace...

"Everything was wonderful. The staff were just lovely. The only problem was we found the bed uncomfortable. It wasn’t unbearable, for one night. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. It is beautiful."
