"A very easy walk from Leuchars station and right near the bus station to go to St Andrews. Great value for the price and right in the center of town near restuarants, a medieval church, and places for nice evening walks. My partner and I stayed 2 nights without a car and found it very easy to get around. Everything was clean and the staff were wonderful."

"The room was spotless, warm and spacious. We opted for Deluxe room which was situated in the annexed building on ground level. The staff were extremely welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful. Plenty of storage and coat/clothes hanging space. Being in a rural spot, we found it very peaceful. A large car park is sited just across the road, which links Perth and nearby Glenfarg. "On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who was very friendly and informed us of everything about the hotel. We had a lovely garden room which had a lovely view of the hotel gardens. After rushing back downstairs, we were told it didn’t apply — so it really shouldn’t be given to guests at all. The restaurant experience wasn’t any better. "The staff were very nice, friendly and cheerful, the bed was comfy, the room was hot, the food (dinner and breakfast) was ok. But that’s about it. I don’t understand how a big hotel chain can justify this as a 4 star? The place was dirty, the furniture tired and you could see paint coming off. Let’s not try and pass it as a character property. It needs investment and serious refurbishment as it’s currently a very old and not looked after b&b than a 4 star boutique. "
