"Was like going back in time, had a feel of a bygone day of 50s or 60s.
Nice and quaint.
Nice very to have oatmeal and coffee available for breakfast."
"Family friendly, spacious rooms. Tons to do at the resort and in town. Nice casual walk to town that takes minutes. The only negative as a young family were the doors in the West Lodge. The rooms only have a push button for a lock, wish they had a high latch on both the inside and deck doors. Other than that great place!"
"The property is located on a unique piece of land. The "backyard" area opens up to the lake and it is very peaceful to sit there and watch the sunset. So, A+ there.
In July of 2026 they are doing construction on the restaurant. I'm glad to see this place get some needed TLC in the form of capital investment. The downside is there is no breakfast or anything like that. There is a coffee shop within walking distance that has breakfast items. In the morning, there is a line out the door. Super popular place. I can't recall the name of it,but it shouldn't be hard to find.
The biggest downside here is that all the rooms are on the upper floors and there is zero AC. Also, no elevator or anything to help you schlepp your bags up the steep circa late 19th century staircase (not the typical 7x11 risexrun that became standardized since WWII). We were there in July and it was only mid 70s in the day and upper 50s in the night and our room was sweltering. If they ever add AC, I'd go back. If not, then not. At least not in July."
"We truly enjoyed our short stay at the Pine Wood Cabins! It was extraordinarily hot outdoors this summer July 4th holiday, but along with a cool shower, our small cabin’s air conditioning made it very comfortable after a long day’s drive there from NYC. The cabins sit independently for privacy with a space for your vehicle. Our cabin was clean, stocked with toiletries and we were able to connect to the WiFi with ease and our television was cable ready. On the grounds, we experienced very peaceful mornings, people drinking their coffee on the porch. We would return afternoons to see some folks grilling their food, while small children played outside. The nights were very calm quiet, and the property was beautifully lit for added safety.
The hosts here are the owners of the property, and seem to give individual attention to their guests in our experience. They introduced themselves and are genuinely sweet and friendly people. They gave us suggestions on where to eat and directions to different locations. We enjoyed getting to know them a bit personally which you don’t get at the big chain style hotels. Angela met and pet our dog and wanted him to be as comfortable there as we were!
We would certainly stay there again as this was our first trip to the Adirondacks region. We thank them for a lovely stay!"
"The room was very cute and cozy all Adirondack themed. Accessing the room was easy didn’t have much contact with staff only time I had contact with the staff. Was when I called to find out when I would be getting my codes to access the room."
"Spectacular views from a mountaintop historic lodge. Restaurant on sight, great breakfast included in room price. Somewhat rustic, very quiet. Beautiful location to clear your mind and soul."
