"Well. To start the room wasn't nowhere near as advertised. No microwave,and the plumbing made noises all night and couldn't sleep!!!!!"

"I visited Detroit for the first time and stayed at Hotel Houze for a long weekend. I’ll start with the staff, they were kind! The hotel is an old building, therefore if you go in the winter months the rooms are extremely cold. The staff were aware and provided me with a space heater! It was really cold. Next, they were short staffed in the cleaning department. At one point not having house keeping at all. I stayed for 3 nights. When I checked in the bottom of my toilet had dried up pee. The room was clean, bed was made (I hope sheets clean) lol Sheets showed no visible dirt, but definitely not freshly white. As far as the area. There were many many homeless people having out and asking for money when u walk out. No parking on site, a garage across th street ($30/night) The staff was kind. The room had a washer, dryer, full kitchen, I didnt use any of that, but very convenient. The worst part was the cold, but again, the staff acknowledged th issue and tried to help with the space heater. "

"Friendly staff. Fun to talk to, gave us ideas of places to eat and things to see around the hotel. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. You can hear other guests pretty clearly from the other rooms. Free parking was nice! "

"Friendly staff great food. Clean rooms we came in town for the claressa shields fight. It was close to the little ceaser event we will stay her again "
