"The day before ous stay we were informed that they had no room for us the first day. The alternative they offered was not an option in any way. The staff at the hotel was most friendly, but how this was managed is not nice on a planned vacation. "Hotel was very helpful with recommendations on places to see and places to eat not only in gallipoli but tricase porto, otranto, and galetina. Also made reservations for us. They were particularly helpful wither parking lot, which is 850 meters from hotel. They had us call ten minutes before arriving in gallipoli and jetty was waiting for us at garage to pick up luggage and take us into old town-no cars. Also fast service to get us to car for drives around area and pickups. We should have stayed 1 or 2 more nights because located nicely in old town near lots of activities."

"We had a very good stay overall. The hotel is beautifully located near the beaches, and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and service-oriented. The food at the restaurant was not really to our taste, and unfortunately, the pool is not heated, so due to the weather we were unable to use it. One thing that could definitely be improved is the access road to the hotel, which is unpaved. For a hotel of this standard, we would expect a properly paved road, or at least a well-maintained gravel road. Overall, a very pleasant experience with a great location and excellent service."

"Our stay at La Roccia equaled our expectations! From the minute we walked in and met Arianna and Gabriella, we felt welcomed and were treated like family. The rooms are lovely, clean, and each one faces the beautiful waters that define Castro Marina. It was lovely being there just as the summer season is ending - there was plenty of room to enjoy the terraced patios with access to swimming and lazy afternoons in the sun. The restaurant is outstanding; we ate dinner there twice and enjoyed not only the outstanding array of menu items, but also the impeccable service of Lorenzo and Vanessa. We highly recommend La Roccia."

"The breakfast was ok but if you arrived after 9.30 (breakfast finishes at 10am) the food was being cleared away, tables weren't re-laid. Staff at breakfast weren't very friendly and it was difficult getting a coffee. The main waiter was incredibly rude and almost took a croissant from my husband on the first day! Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room nice - although beware suite if you have mobility issues as bed very low and shower / bath up a number of stairs. Restaurant opposite hotel on beach (where you could use your half board voucher ) was excellent and very good value. Good location for beach and close to bus to harbour area."
