"Ok I will start with the good. The hotel room was very nice, roomy and clean. The reception staff were very helpful and the cleaning staff were fantastic. I accidentally left some cash in my room and the cleaning staff helped me "organize" it and placed it nicely on the desk. Please note that the reception staff can help book tours and ferries for you but those must be paid in cash. The hotel is in a perfect location,right on the beach in the center of all the action. Very convenient. Downside is that at night it can be noisy with all of the competing karaoke belting at full volume. My room was in the back so it was quiet and I could sleep. I recommend a room in the back building if you are a light sleeper. The restaurant on the other hand was not as enjoyable. The food was ok, but the staff really are not attentive and you have to wave them down to get their attention, except for Jude who was great. The wait staff really could use some more training."

"Hot showers and great food and staff. Alona beach was just over the beach walk and not really suitable to hang out on. Had to walk up towards the end for the sand. Just a 10 min tok tok ride to Dumaluan Beach where you can use the amenities and hang out on a gorgeous beach at the Oceanica. Highly recommend doing this. El at guest services was so helpful arranging a private driver to go see the chocolate hills, man made forest, Tarziers, bamboo bridge and the bee Farm resort. Would recommend this hotel if you want to stay in town. Short tok tok to main road for shops and restaurants. Mr and Mrs Thai was awesome:)"

"Staff was very friendly. Nice view from the end unit. Breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection. Free shuttle is only the shuttle from the hotel to Alona Beach. Any ride from the Pier or Airport will cost you. Internet from the end unit was poor. We had no internet in the room for most of the time."

"Overall stay was pretty convenient. It's a few steps from the beach, but make sure to be dropped off on site if you can, because it ruined my suitcase from being dragged from the parking area to the hotel and back. The pool could use a bit of thorough cleaning, but we still enjoyed it. We stayed in a family room, and it was very comfortable for a pax of 8. We will stay again."
