"Stay away from this place. Horrible service and the place was filthy. There are no stores nearby the location is horrible and the staff was not helpful. My vacation to Italy was ruined because of this place. I have traveled to over 30 countries and this place that I stayed was hell on earth. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE 0 stars. I got locked out because someone took the key and the staff did nothing to help. They basically told me to go F myself and they wont help me open the door. I was stuck...

"Cute and quaint. Close enough to the beach which was a 10 minute walk away. There are no staff in this location so asking for extra towels and toilet paper was awkward but the staff were very helpful and nice. The park for children is right across the street which was great for my 8y old and 6y old but the walls did not have sound proofing so sleeping at night was difficult for a light sleeper such as myself. Loved the town!"

"Well, Franco is what really makes the stay. He gives all sorts of tips and advice for what to visit and where to go and even books restaurants for you. That being said the masseria is a bit in the middle of nowhere. The dog Diana is the highlight of the stay. She is always there to welcome you when you return to the property. The rooms were very clean and cool, nice swimming pool, though we didn't use it much, but the breakfast could have been a bit more consistent. If you're they type to just...

"We absolutely loved our stay of 4 nights at Thymus! Incredibly clean and so cool to stay inside a cave. Breakfast outside while looking at the hills of matera will never be forgotten. Well worth every penny!"

"Nice new room and all good although the room is a bit small for 2 people and hot water was of limited duration, presumably to “save the environment” and …costs? Breakfast vouchers for nearby cafes were a good idea but limited in scope (espresso and croissant)."
