"I was warned that this hotel wasn't in the best area, but I thought, "how bad can it be...it's a Double Tree". It was definitely an adventure getting there, but upon arrival, the outside and entrance of the property seemed clean and just like any other Double Tree...if not a little older. I got in on the late side, and had heavy bags with me. I discovered I was on the far end of the first floor hallway. "Beautiful & clean property! Kind & polite staff! Excellent rooms! Wonderful walking trails. Very good food at Catalina Cafe & Bashi! Nice gym. Pools were crowded and noisy. 21 and over pool had extremely loud music Saturday afternoon… we couldn’t hold a conversation. Pool by gym was quiet and relaxing but isn’t included with stay. Apparently it is only for spa treatment clientele… without an accessible beach it may be hard to find a quiet place to swim unless you opt for a spa treatment."

"The hotel is next to a very busy intersection and was very loud especially at very early hours of morning. The a/c is located right in front of beds which is inconvenient, since you will freeze too quickly but if you turn it off it gets too stuffy. The room we got had a strange smell that wouldn’t go away even with door and window open. I did advise the front desk person and he provided me with some air freshener. Beds seem comfy"
