We later had dinner in the restaurant, with a nice selection of dishes and again a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely, the wife had boiled eggs and soldiers, they were perfect with nice runny yokes. My full English breakfast was excellent with a perfectly cooked poached egg. "A wonderful welcome and our room was lovely. The dining area was busy with both residents and local people. The menu offered a good variety and food arrived very hot and well presented. We wouldn’t hesitate to return but would advise that the age of the building means that stairs are very steep and the floors are uneven. "

"Absolutely superb place to stay. I stayed for 3 nights as part of a business trip and was impressed mostly by the staff and service. The room was an excellent size and well appointed with high quality decor and en-suite, and a personalised welcome message. Parking was good although a little tight in places. The only slightly negative point is the road noise from around 6am, being in a main road, and with a room at the front of the property. Otherwise superb and will absolutely stay...
