Just had two nights. We got the last remaking room which was described as “cosy” which it was. Very well appointed, all the food we had at breakfast on two mornings, and dinner one evening was very good. Although busy service was excellent, and all the staff without fail were a credit to the hotel. Very, very pleased with the whole visit, and would not hesitate to stay again.

Just had an outstanding stay at Bel and The Dragon. Everything was 5 stars. The pub/restaurant atmosphere was fab and the quality of the food was excellent - truly delicious. The rooms were clean and airy, and the bathroom with the roll-top bath was lovely. The complementary tea and coffee, whiskey and sloe gin were all a great addition. Every single member of staff was polite and helpful and the service was outstanding. What a fabulous stay! Will be back!

Stayed here for business at a corporate event at Hedsor House - this was a hidden gem, and great value for money! We got there and were served by friendly, informative staff - the room was perfect for what we needed and the breakfast was plentiful and great quality. Would definitely stay here again when in the area!

Nice hotel but let down by restaurant

Nice hotel with character. Excellent staff at check in and breakfast. Breakfast very nice. Unfortunately evening meal not good. Poor service and food choices not available. Limited choice. Quality of food received poor.

It’s a beautiful area and the inn itself is lovely. Sadly we were given “Hilda” as our room. It was small, shabby, no room for bedside tables and really cramped. The widows were small and hard to open, on a hot day with no air con, it was a small oven, we were really uncomfortable, I cant deny we felt disappointed, the pictures obviously don’t show this room, not even enough room for a coffee machine as shown on all photos. Toilet needed a deep clean too, skirting’s were really grubby. I get the feeling that this room isn’t used much, sadly we got given it. Breakfast very good though, but still had to return to our little room, which wiped out this positive.

The most charming British experience

What a perfect first night stay in the UK! Everything about Bel & The Dragon Cookham was lovely. From the warm staff, to the quality of the food, to the great bed, to the guest-only self-serve tipples (sloe gin and whisky), everything was carefully attended to. Every staff member was helpful, esp to help us navigate on our first day. Highly recommend a stay here in one of the oldest pubs in England!
