"China (Cheena) looked after us so well. She did everything, cooking , cleaning, driving us to ski resort. Our train was cancelled and they came to pick us up at Bandai Altima at a cost which was terrific. "If you are looking to experience how Japanese travel, sleep on tatami rooms and eat a good selection of Japanese food. Then this hotel is a good choice. Your room includes a breakfast and dinner buffetes and most people wear the colorful yukata provided by the hotel. The property is a bit out of date but the public bath is quite nice. Transportation into the city is limited and taxi is about $20 USD"

Aizuwakamatsu Washington Hotel

"This was a nice hotel located very close to aizuwakamatsu station. It was dated- the bathroom was clean, but had a kind of old smell. The air conditioning didn’t work well, but it was cool enough to open the window. There were no laundry facilities, but there was a coin laundry pretty close by. We were given drink vouchers for each night’s stay but we didn’t use them because we felt underdressed for the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful- we transferred luggage and they were very helpful with that. Close to a 7-eleven and restaurants were nearby. Overall a nice stay and would stay again if going to the Aizu area."

"Very nice modern Onsen hotel, our Japanese style room is spacious with a separate sitting room and the view is great. The buffet dinner and breakfast were great and the onset facility is wonderful. The hotel provides shuttle bus services to the local attractions and JR station. Highly recommended."
