"This is the second time I've stayed at this lovely, gracious hotel. It is a colonial building with all modern amenities. It's well located in the Centro Historico in Puebla, easy walking distance to many places of interest and excellent restaurants (including the one in the hotel). The price is quite reasonable, considering how sumptuous this place is!"

"Absolutely gorgeous property. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Everything is impeccable; the bed is comfortable. The staff is prompt and efficient. We tried different restaurants in the property and everything was delicious, both food and cocktails! The area is very walkable and safe. You can easily reach the historic center in about 15-17 minutes, walking leisurely. Great views from the rooftop! Our only "negative" comment is that our room was very hot, even with the air conditioner - which was supposedly at max, but wasn't really cooling the room. At night, it was easier to open the windows to reach a comfortable temperature. During the day that was just not feasible. It's only April, so I assume the room would get even hotter in the summer. Puebla didn't normally reach such hight temperatures, but with climate change, Banyan Tree might need to invest in a better cooling system. Other than that, we'd absolutely return - but maybe only in the winter months. 😉"

"This is a really sweet little hotel. with a lot of character and individually appointed rooms. It is extremely central, just a block or so away from the Zocalo but overall very peaceful and quiet.(there was some club music that was noticeable, but my room that was deep inside enough that it didn’t bother me). I didn’t not use the spa, but it looked nice. The restaurant was good, breakfast was great but coffee a little weak. The restaurant does not belong to the hotel and is paid separately. The only thing that was not great was the Wi-Fi. It was in and out at best, and nonexistent for most of my stay. I understand that colonial mansions’ thick walls can be problematic with Wi-Fi, but this seemed to be beyond that. Yet everything else, the kind staff as well, made up for that. "

"I liked the location of the Hotel. Close to everything. The personnel was friendly. The only thing I didn't like is the noise due to the echo in the living areas. Other that that i liked the hotel And if I come back to Puebla again I definitly stay at this property."

"Beware, unless you have a suite, the rooms have no windows to the outdoors. We had two rooms with two queen beds and while there were windows in the rooms, they were frosted over and were internal. It was like being in an inside cabin on a cruise ship. Although we paid the same price for both rooms, they were not equal. One was much more spacious while the other hardly had counter space to put any toiletries in the bathroom and had no chair to sit in. Outside of these issues, the hotel is in a fabulous location, which we loved. So nice to be right on the zocalo with the church, restaurants and shops at your doorstep. Such a lovely area to walk. Felt completely safe. The lobby is nice, and the restaurant was good. "
