"Arrived on Sunday evening. Had been held up at an engagement but had a table booked during my journey for 20.45. Arrived at the pub/reception at 20.53 (booking line stated I had a 15 minute grace period). Told rather rudely that the kitchen had closed ages ago. I pointed out that I'd booked a table for 20.45 to which the reply was 'well it's now 20.53'. I stated that the booking said there was a 15 minute grace period and I had been stuck in traffic during my 2 hours drive, so couldn't help...

"No frills, just what you expect for the money."

"Disappointing and Overpriced Stay The breakfast was exactly the same every day and became boring after two days, especially during a longer stay. There are no in-room breakfast facilities. Reception staff were rude, and the late check-out policy seemed inconsistent—free during my first stay, then £10 per hour later. The location is inconvenient, with no nearby public transport and few shops or restaurants within easy reach. Some rooms have noisy roof or window structures during rain, and I had...

"Very comfortable and clean rooms, good selection of breakfast meets requirements for vegetarians. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Just a couple of things to consider, bar seemed to have run out of a couple of drinks options we ordered. We had traveled from South East London after finishing work. Managed to get to the property around 9:40. Just made it to last food orders for 9:45.May be helpful if the kitchen order time is extended to perhaps 10:00 pm. Otherwise a good stay, have stayed...

"You know what you're going to get from a Holiday Inn, so 5 starts indicate everything I expected was delivered as well as I might have hoped. Friendly, efficient staff, a comfortable room, a very good breakfast. Location great if you want to be on the edge of things, rather than right in the middle."

"Lovely room with view of the lake, iron & ironing board, coffee machine and kettle were much appreciated. Didn’t have breakfast but it was reasonably priced. Free parking and plenty of space, felt safe."

"It’s a very lovely place to stay, but I suggest they put bath mat in the bathroom before someone slide and fall, writing it in the bathroom to request for it not good enough, not everyone will see it,it’s not too safe to use it without mat"

"Good size room, clean and comfortable. Really helpful staff."

"clean, comfortable room, comfortable bed, helpful, friendly staff, good breakfast"

"Lovely proprietor. Cooked breakfast was great, a pity that on last day we couldn't have it because of staffing problem. Attractively decorated property"
