"We checked in on July 3, 2026. Shortly after arrival, we took the elevator and immediately noticed there was no air conditioning. "This property was one of dirtiest hotels we have experienced. We booked two nights with them, but we didn’t stay there because when we arrived we noticed how unkempt the outside was kept, trashy and landscaping needed a lot of work. We then asked to see our room, which needed some serious attention. The carpet looked like it had been there since the seventies, looked very dirty and the bathrooms were in dire need of repair and cleaning. I would not recommend staying at this property! "The resort and our room was clean. This resort is very well maintained. All the staffs was helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the Rod and Reel Restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday. There was no shows outside atrium due to rainfall. I will definitely revisit the Rod and Reel Resort."

"When we checked in, hotel was having computer issues and was unable to issue a room key. So everyone we left and returned, we had to go to front desk to be let back into our rooms. The staff was not apologetic nor sympathetic. If was as if it was our fault we didn’t have a room key."

We were there on a very, very busy week and they worked so hard the entire time we were there. "I booked a room there because of the pool. The pool was out of service. The room was not up to code. The toilet seat was loose, with a bolt missing. The were wires coming out the ceiling were the smoke detector should have been. The iron was missing. No coffee pot. There were cigarette holes in the bed spread. There were roaches.
