"We enjoyed our stay, excellent value for money, spotlessly clean, great breakfast, delicious evening meal ( you need to book ahead) with very local home made specialties that were very welcome after eating restaurant food for a week. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating including with my food intolerances. Hotel is well located to enjoy the cultural attractions nearby. I would have liked a mini fridge and a bigger shower but would happily stay here again. "

"Omu Axiu is exactly what we needed to get the feel of Sardinia. After how busy Cagliari was and even Costa Sud, it was a dream to get to the hotel and homestead. "It's a longish drive from Cagliari (around 250KM) but of course it's worth it to really get away from it all. The hotel is a lovely place up in the hills so you have your choice of the spectacular mountain scenery on one side or a lazy day on the beaches on the other. Watch those twisty mountain roads though! Watch more for the Mountain Goats who, I swear, like to leap out at you just for a dare. Especially when you're coming around on a tight u-bend with a deadly sheer precipice on one side. The owners have quite a menagerie and I especially loved the donkeys who were all friendly and adorable. One had a foal on the second night I was there and I got to see the new one the following day. Awwww! Very helpful, friendly owners and "Mama" is a lovely person. So, if peace, quiet and irresistibly cute baby animals is your thing, I highly recommend a stay here."
