"We absolutely loved Zelda Dearest. This place has quickly become our go-to when we’re in Asheville — the 1920s vibe, the atmosphere, the staff — all of it just works. Breakfast was fantastic and the perfect way to start the morning before heading out to explore downtown. The location is great too, easy walking distance to everything. If you haven’t stayed here yet, you’re missing out. We’ll definitely be back."

"Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and helpful! Top notch service all the way around! Loved sitting on the patio at the watch and people watching in the evening! Then the rooftop for sunset and cocktails, then the lower level for live music and arcade games! It was a special treat to have a breakfast bag delivered to the door in the morning as well as afternoon, charcuterie, cheese, and wine that was complementary. The location was wonderful and using the valet made everything so easy!"

"Upon check In They did not have our reservation! One of the managers had to come out and figure out what was happening! It was in Expedia but not Kimpton! We wasted about 30 minutes trying to figure out the situation! This is not the first time I gave had an issue with Expedia! Will not be using them again in the future"

"Your hotel is lovely however your housekeeping department is abysmal at best. My room was never really serviced - counters/sink never washed, toilet paper removed from bathroom, desk top not ever cleaned! Sheets in a 5 night stay - never changed! Toilet/shower area smelled like urine! I spoke with Dexter Hazel regarding my room never being serviced at all on 4/5/26 requiring me at 9:30pm to request towels, washcloths, cups/creamers! Your hotel may be a boutique hotel but it’s still not Howard...

"This hotel is right in downtown Asheville, near wonderful restaurants & terrific art collections, also the shops on Lexington Avenue. You can walk to everything (but need to drive to Biltmore Estate.) Haywood Park hotel was an historic Bon Marche department store so the rooms are spacious as are the hallways. Extremely helpful staff. Do be aware that if you have a car you will be required to use their Valet Parking which I mistakenly thought was $22 per day but which in fact was $22 every time...
