"Will not be returning, staff not helpful at all, dog friendly but couldn’t even let the dog have a sausage at breakfast as they had ran out, they had also ran out of biscuits for the room, garden peas and orange juice. Not a cheap nights stay so these things should not be running out!! Best staff were the morning we were leaving, had they had been on all weekend it would have made it a more pleasant stay"

"Lovely old pub, with lots of history. Helpful welcoming staff on arrival and at breakfast. The parking was signposted but a little trickier to find than I expected, but plentiful when you get to it. Breakfast good quality. The room would benefit from a bit of redecoration as others have said but it didn't detract from a pleasant stay in an inn I would recommend to others. I stayed here for a conference in Nottingham and it was practical for that reason and easy to access from the motorway....
