The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. I spoke that evening to Steve Parfitt on reception who immediately checked the pool locker and kindly called me back to inform me that he had found it. "This was a return visit as we loved the friendly staff and locals. Special treat for our Irish Wolfhound because my wife was on antibiotics so timing meant she couldn't have her breakfast... so guess who got it instead. Very happy dog though I think the chef felt his skills were not being tested given she likes her eggs raw. So yes they are very dog friendly, and the food for us humans was excellent as well."

"I had a lovely stay at the Exeter Inn! Michelle and Martin gave me the warmest welcome, and the whole place felt instantly inviting. I met up with friends from Bampton for dinner, and the Festive Christmas menu was excellent — beautifully cooked and full of flavour. I stayed in the Brook bedroom, which was immaculate and thoughtfully supplied with plenty of toiletries. A genuinely delightful visit and I’d happily return. Thank you !"
