We had a wonderful stay at Kato Waidi Nubian House. The staff were incredibly polite, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. They arranged all our transportation smoothly and made our stay completely stress-free. The traditional grilled dinner was excellent and felt very authentic. We highly recommend staying a couple of days to experience and explore the more traditional side of Nubian life.

La chambre est sale , la salle de bain est pire,les bâtiments délabrés ,nous sommes restés 1 heure au lieu de 3 jours. Je comprends que la place peut satisfaire des voyageurs peu exigeants et les commentaires positifs sont certainement vrais,mais pour à peine le double du prix on peut avoir tu très haut de gamme à Assouan.

Stayed here the night before starting a Nile Cruise. It's an unusual experience-the transfer from the airport eventually puts you in a tuk-tuk to get you there! And we had to take a boat to transfer to our cruise. It feels rustic, but in a good way. Staff very attentive, but not much english speaking. Rooms were simple but comfortable.

Kato Waidi Nubian House is magical. The beautiful Nubian artwork in the Nubian Village and through this affordable, modest hotel inspired my creativity. I enjoyed the laid back friendly atmosphere. I felt at home. And the staff was extremely accommodating. One of the special benefits is the affordable airport transport. Kato Waidi Nubian House sits on the River Nile. It was a blessing to journey down the Nile on the boat into town to see the sunrise and feel the song of Ancient people through the whispers of the River Nile. My stay at Kato Waidi Nubian House lives in my heart. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a comfortable environment that is child friendly. Tipping is part of the Egyptian tourist culture and I found myself wanting to share because of the profound humility and generosity of everyone I met. And the Kato Waidi Nubian Village has a vibrant Bazaar with wonderful artwork and souvenirs to remember the journey!

I really enjoyed my stay at this family-run hotel in the Nubian village. The place was clean, the family was very kind, and the location couldn’t be better — right in front of the Nile, with beautiful trees in the dining area that kept the space fresh and gave it a natural, charming atmosphere. It’s also right next to the dock where the small boats arrive, and in the center of the village, so everything is within walking distance. Just keep in mind that cars don’t go into the center, so if you arrive by car you’ll need to take a tuk-tuk for the last stretch. Also the prices for the food are not as expensive as others places such in Aswan

Avslappende og hyggelig!

Vi hadde et 3 dagers opphold. Hotellet ligger i Nubian Village, et rolig område utenfor Aswan, der du slipper stresset med Aswan by. De har et veldig koselig uteområde som du kan sitte å nyte rolige kvelder. Betjeningen er veldig hyggelige. Ingenting ting er eit problem å fikse. De hjalp oss med dagsturer og transport når vi trengte det. Personlig så anbefales Fofo (båttaxi) som kjørte oss rundt på Nilen. Maten er grunn god nok til å velge dette hotellet, den er absolutt fantastisk.

Beautiful and very relaxing property on the Nile with very clean and lovely rooms, friendly staff who were very accommodating and delicious food! The surrounding area was fun to walk around also with several souvenir shops and friendly people and cafes.

Kato Waidi exceeded our expectations. We were greeted with utmost warmth and friendliness. All the staff members were respectful and kind. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We booked our stay through Expedia whom which caused a huge misunderstanding but the hotel staff were so calm and professional while trying to settle the issue. Nevertheless, it did not ruin our stay but simply highlighted how amazing this hotel is. The view and ambience of the place made our stay truly magical. Thank you.

If you want to see the colourful way the Nubian people live come here. The rooms are built in the traditional style and all painted in bright colurs and spotless clean. We had a minor problem.with the power and within minutes they moved us to an upgraded room and could not apologise enough. Each room is unique. The food is basic but well cooked and cheap. Give our regards to all.the staff

Booked two rooms. One of the rooms had a thousand dead and alive bugs all over the room. And the bedding had a large stain on the sheets. When we spoke with the owner he sprayed poison in the room and said wait 2 minutes then you can go in. I told him it was unsafe to stay in the room due to the poison they sprayed which would be all over the bedding and in the air. Asked for another room and he said their was none available. We ended up having to rebook at another hotel a hour after we arrived at this hotel. Hotel refused to refund the money. Avoid booking at this hotel. Disgusting. Poor customer service.

Falta de higiene.

El hotel está ubicado en una zona de aldea Nubia, es de difícil acceso, todos los taxistas se quejan de las distancias y la calidad del camino. La higiene no es la mejor, se fue la energía eléctrica y hay muchas moscas en el desayuno. No volvería.

We liked the uniqueness of this area, Nubian Village, and the colorful of the properities. We stayed for two nights. The hostel is located on the Nile river that provides scenery views of the surrounding nature. The food was good. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The only issue, there was no internet in the room, just in the common area. Overall, the experience worths it.
