"We recently stayed at this hotel in Philadelphia. The location is definitely a plus — it’s conveniently situated and made it easy for us to get around the city. That said, the hotel itself feels a bit run down and could use some updates. Self-parking is $45 per day and located around the corner from the hotel, which wasn’t ideal when it came to hauling luggage back and forth. It wasn’t the most convenient setup, but we made it work. We were also a little disappointed with our view, as our room faced another building rather than offering the nicer downtown skyline views we were hoping for. Overall, the location is great, but there are a few areas where the experience could be improved."

"The good: bed was comfy. Room was clean. Location was perfect for the trip. Suites were nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good value. The bad: shower plumbing was bizarre and there was insufficient hot water pressure. Hotel lobby was undergoing a complete renovation so a cramped alternate space was used - they sent multiple emails but failed to mention that. The only grab and go food was from a basic candy/snack vending machine. "

"The housekeeping staff was excellent. From the minute I made a phone call about my friend coming and asked for connecting rooms. The front desk staff was more than accommodating. My flight was canceled due to a snowstorm and they were more than accommodating, They took care of me with a blizzard rate. The only things that I thought was a little strange was that the lobby and the ground floor are not on the same level. Also, they do provide bottled water when requested the water that comes out of the sink it is very cloudy city water, but after it settles, it looks OK, but that made me feel uneasy. other than that it’s my go to Hotel next time I visit my hometown Philly."

"The Monaco was great, centrally located and the staff and facilities were excellent. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars was the food at their pub - overpriced and a very small selection. I had the Philly Cheese Steak, which since it was in Philly should have been outstanding, but it was overpriced and bland. "
