"When I made my reservation I noted that I would be arriving late so that the shuttle driver would look for me. I had traveled for about 14 hours and was exhausted. I waited about 50 minutes before calling the hotel, all while watching other shuttles come and go 3-4 times. So for the unreliability of the shuttle service Id give this hotel a 1. But the staff was great, the room and hotel were very clean and I was impressed by the breakfast, that’s why I give them 4 stars."

"About an hour from San Jose and STRONGLY recommend at least 1 or 2 nights coming to or from. This is an extraordinary experience. The casitas are over the top, but the 5 waterfalls hike, the Aviary, Frog experience, Big Cats and Butterfly house will blow your mind. It is all rescued animals given the best experience that could be created. I will find a way to visit there EVERY time I go to Costa Rica."

"We stayed here during a family vacation and were blown away by this beautiful property that’s located in Bajos del Toro, a truly spectacular location in central Costa Rica. William, the owner happened to be there during our visit and both he and Viktor, his business partner, were welcoming and helpful - truly lovely people. The beds were comfortable, the property was clean and well-equipped, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed drinking our coffee on the back porch overlooking the waterfall. Our kids also loved the loft. William also told us about Melvin and Ana, who come through the town Mondays and Tuesdays selling produce in a bus. They also were amazing people and we really enjoyed our conversation with them as we shopped for fruit and vegetables. If you’re ever in the area, you must stay here. We definitely will be back!"
