"My stay at this hotel was absolutely horrendous. From the moment we walked in, the entire place smelled like wet cat and urine soaked into the carpet. Things only got worse from there. The elevator was broken, so we had to carry all of our luggage up the stairs ourselves. When we finally got to the room, it was filthy. "The pool was not in service. The breakfast floor was sticky to walk on. There were only two towels in a two queen bed room. The noise level was pretty extreme all around the first floor till about 1am. The coffee area in the lobby was scarce in supplies and the water was tepid. There was one gentleman checking 5 guests in which took some time. There is only milk in the am to use as creamer for coffee in the breakfast area. "We stayed at Visitation during our son and DIL marriage in the Frederick courthouse- afterwards we reserved dinner at Wye Oak Tavern. The environment, presentation and superior taste of food made for a memorable evening. They treated us with a glass of complimentary champagne to celebrate our night and we never felt rushed to leave that evening. It was a special night and our stay at hotel was superb - rooms were immaculate and comfortable- hotel grounds were lovely to relax."
