"Hilary and Oliver are so hospitable and warm and everything you can want in B&B hosts. They are so accommodating in every way. The breakfast is superb- fresh cooked to order Irish breakfast or avocado toast with salmon or egg. "Castlehacket House is an amazing place in a very lovely, but remote location. We were very well taken care of in a beautiful room with a lovely breakfast the next day. The hosts took care of all the guests at breakfast with a very personable service and it is somewhere I would not hesitate to return too."

If you're on the second floor, you will have to haul your luggage up a narrow flight of stairs. Also, like most places in Ireland, no wash clothes. "

"Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....

The front desk is exceptionally helpful in responding to questions, looking up information online, and attending to guests' needs.
